**What is the role?**

The role requires a mix of skills including creative flair as well as analytical and organisational abilities, with responsibilities across the following:
**Product set up and content creation**:
Manage the end-to-end product set up process, including:
Gathering, recording and checking product data for use online and in operational systems.

Creating compelling written product descriptions that capture the “emotion” of our products in our tone of voice. Combined with a high level of attention to detail to ensure product attributes are correctly applied to support customers buying decisions.

Collaborating with internal creative teams and third parties to co-ordinate the production of high-quality product images and videos to support your written product content.

Ensuring that product content is optimised for SEO and adheres to best practices for online merchandising.

**Catalogue management**:
You will be responsible for the ongoing merchandising of the website with new products, seasonal range changes and deranging decisions. You will work closely with the purchasing team to ensure the processes for launching products are both accurate and timely and discontinued products are traded to optimise sell through before removal from the website.

You will also work closely with our customer support team to adjust product content on the website based on customer feedback to ensure we provide the most accurate information to website visitors.

**Inventory management and competitor monitoring**:
You will work closely with the purchasing team to monitor and analyse sales rates of product lines and ensure product collections are optimised for trading. You will also monitor and review competitor propositions for product gaps and price competitiveness of the Hortology offering.

Highly organised with a meticulous attitude to getting the details right.

Process driven and able to work efficiently to deliver to deadlines.

A trading mindset, a desire to understand and be better than the competition.

Systems literate, working knowledge of Microsoft office.

Adaptable and willing to learn new skills. Houseplant knowledge is not essential, but you must be willing to learn about our products. An interest in interior design and fashion would be advantageous.

Strong team player with a positive and willing attitude, happy to muck in as needed.

You will be educated to graduate level or similar, potentially with a qualification in marketing/business. An understanding of web platforms (shopify) would be advantageous as would an appreciation of html/css and basic image editing.

**Salary**: £27,000.00 per year
