JOB DESCRIPTION
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
I am a 12 year old boy living with my family in the Aberdare area. I face learning difficulties and need assistance and care for community activities. The role involves supporting a safe family environment and helping with my development, including joining activities with my family and siblings. Day-to-day duties may include school runs and shopping. It's essential to engage me in play and exercise like any other child of my age.
HOURS OF WORK
This is a part-time position to fill in for my other PA during their absence due to leave or illness, with a typical workload of 16 hours per week.
RATES OF PAY
Meet National Minimum Wage (NMW), with additional 40p per mile.
TASKS CAN INCLUDE
- Accompanying me and my family, including siblings, to the park.
- Occasional school runs when the other PA is absent.
- Engaging in games and exercise activities with me.
- Ensuring my safety during outings.
- Joining the family on outings such as school runs, shopping, and day trips.
TYPE OF PERSON REQUIRED
- Reliable and trustworthy individual.
- Happy to work closely with the family.
- Able to cover for other PA's shifts during vacations or sickness.
- Flexible and understanding.
- Possession of own transport might be necessary occasionally.
