We're looking for an Apprentice Technician to join our Transportation team based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Civil Engineering/Construction Support.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.

Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £16,000 per annum

How does an apprenticeship work?

As an Apprentice Technician you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Civil Engineering/Construction Support, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation team to support in keeping over 27,000km of roads flowing across the UK.

Your day to day will include:

Planning and scheduling reactive highway maintenance works, and completing road space booking applications for these works. Visiting site to identify defects, traffic management solutions and gaining an understanding of how scheduling can impact our teams on site and our stakeholdersLearning how to complete permits to work, such as permits to dig and hot worksCommunicating with our supply chain partners to resolve live issues and plan future works delivery
