The role


We're looking for an experienced Senior Advice Quality Consultant with a strong background in financial services, who is customer and colleague focused, combined with a practical knowledge of risk management and regulatory requirements, ideally with life and pensions knowledge.

Previous experience in a Advice Quality Control environment would be an advantage.


As a Senior Advice Quality Control Consultant you will be accountable for the delivery of quality monitoring across our Advice business area (i.e, call monitoring and process outputs etc.).

Quality assessments will focus on both customer outcomes and experience and will be undertaken in accordance with our Quality Framework.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assessing customer interactions, to ensure policies and standards are adhered to and good outcomes are delivered to customers in both the pre and postsale advised process
  • Maintaining an expert knowledge of the regulated Advice landscape. Ensure knowledge of Phoenix Group policies and procedures and any regulated changes are current.
  • Coach and develop other Quality Consultants to establish best practice and ensure alignment in approach across the team.
  • Provide meaningful, insightful analysis of QC data that is complete, accurate and produced on a timely basis.
  • Responsible for the delivery of feedback and development activity in support of ongoing competence for Advisers
  • Providing consultative support to senior business managers in managing risk, often in complex and high profile activities
  • Building close working relationships, gaining credibility and providing an appropriate level of review, challenge, and influence to a variety of stakeholders

What are we looking for?
Minimum Level 4 qualified in Financial Planning or Diploma equivalent

Expert knowledge of regulated Advice landscape

Relevant experience in a Quality Control and/or Financial Advice

Ability to successfully strike balance between ensuring good customer outcomes, customer experience, conduct risk and commerciality.
