About the Role:

Love2shop are hiring for an accounts payable administrator who is keen to learn and join a friendly team in Liverpool. The successful candidate will assist the Finance manager with month end postings and balance sheet reconciliations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to move into a commercial finance team.

Main Responsibilities:


• You will Implement and maintain systems, procedures and policies


• Continuous improvement including moving towards making as many payments as possible electronically


• You will ensure timely payment of vendor invoices by setting up regular payment runs


• Monitor that retailers are paid in line with terms and gain an understanding of the systems involved with this process for both voucher and flexecash retailers


• You will maintain and develop the system for invoice approval and payment all the way from initial purchase request through to payment


• You will pay individual's expense claims ensuring compliance with company guidelines


•Manage the vendor setup process in line with company procedures


• Complete any ad hoc reports for both internal and external parties


• Create a costing matrix for all company expenditure


• Ensure all invoices are coded appropriately


• Month end Journals relating to Accruals and Prepayments


• Ensure all month end procedures are completed accurately, and on time including the month end close and cut offs


• Assist with month end postings and balance sheet reconciliations


• Ensure that the year-end files are completed accurately and assist with Audit queries.

Essential skills required:


• You have a background or some minimum experience in an accounting role


• You have strong organisation, analytical and account reconciliation skills


• You have ability to make and maintain a high control environment


• You have high integrity and work ethic

Desirable:


• You have advanced computer skills in MS Office products


• You have Knowledge of JD Edwards or MS Dynamics 365
