  • Client: NPS (site based in Halifax, Westgate House, HX1 1PS)
  • Hours: 37 hours a week Monday
  • Thursday 8:4 5:15, Friday 8:4 4:30 (Late shift once every few weeks of 117)
  • Duration:Ongoing temporary role
  • Pay rate: £9.65 per hour going up to £9.69 After 12 working weeks
  • Vetting would be required which can take a few weeks

The Role:

  • Deal with all mail items; preparing and sending letters
  • Covering reception, greet offenders and visitors, log their arrival and departure, ensure the appropriate member of staff is notified and issue visitor passes and security fobs as necessary
  • Handle queries, referring on when unable to resolve
  • Handle incoming telephone calls, take messages and transmit to the appropriate person.
  • Prepare paperwork for probation officers, scanning and uploading documents as needed on internal systems (full training provided)
  • Pay bus fares/travel warrants to offenders and handle day to day petty cash
  • Access databases for information as necessary and input information as required
  • Practice safer working and adhere to data protection, confidentiality policies and legislation

Skills required:

  • Good customer service skills
  • Able to use own initiative
  • Attention to detail
