Despatch and Process Operative

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Picking, packing and preparing customer orders in a timely manner, meeting deadlines for despatch
  • Coordinating despatch of orders with various couriers
  • Accepting, checking and stocking received deliveries
  • Full compliance with the companies Health and Safety requirements
  • Manual handling of products
  • General warehouse duties
  • Some manufacturing duties as required


You will work as part of a small team at times and must have good interpersonal skills, you must arrive on time each day for work and maintain and excellent attendance record.


Marrose Abrasives currently employ 17 full time people manufacturing high quality grinding wheels which exported worldwide, you should take pride in the quality of your work, having good skills in speaking and writing in English and good numeracy skills.


Hours of work are currently:

Monday to Thursday 07:00 to 12:24, 13:00 to 16:00

Friday 07:00 to 11:24

Hourly rate £9.64

Weekly time keeping bonus £3.28 per week

Weekly attendance bonus £6.20 per week

4 weekly time keeping and attendance bonus £40.00


Holidays: 20 days plus statutory holidays, holidays are currently fixed, with 1 week at the end of May, 2 weeks end of July/beginning of August and a final week in mid-September.
