Job Title: Composite Tooling Engineer at Aerotron Composites Ltd

Job Purpose
- Support and lead the design and manufacturing of composite tooling for various projects.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering
- Design composite tooling to meet product requirements and regulations.
- Produce detailed manufacturing documents and manage Bills of Materials.
- Provide expertise in composite tooling design.
- Conduct engineering checks to ensure cost-effective designs.

Project
- Participate in projects from estimation to delivery, ensuring customer requirements are met.
- Communicate with suppliers to align manufacture with design specifications.

Leadership
- Mentor junior team members and develop company systems.

Company Support
- Ensure compliance with company policies, including Health and Safety.
- Support shop floor staff to meet design specifications.

Knowledge and Experience

Essential
- Proficient in CAD, preferably Catia.
- Experienced in BS 8888 and Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing.
- Knowledge of composite production techniques and composite tooling design.
- Experience leading teams in engineering projects.

Desirable
- Aerospace and/or defence experience.
- Manufacturing engineering, CNC programming.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SYSPRO.
- "Hands-on" composite experience.

Skills
- Effective organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and complete tasks within project timelines.
- Attention to detail and practical problem-solving skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills.

Qualifications
- Degree, HND/HNC, or equivalent in engineering with or working towards professional registration.
