Regulatory and Compliance Lawyer - Digital and E Commerce, Global Technology Company

We're looking for a mid to senior Regulatory and Compliance lawyer to support our client, a global technology company, for at least 3 months.

You'll be joining the EMEA Regulatory legal team supporting the company's growing e-commerce business.

You'll be advising on a broad range of regulatory matters including advising business teams on compliance in relation to new laws and regulations.

Supporting the e-commerce business on compliance with new and existing online platform, consumer, and product related legislation in the UK and across Europe (E.g DSA, Online Safety Bill, General Product Safety Regulation)
Supporting the review of new products and features against relevant law and guidance
Engaging with regulators, including those responsible for online platform, consumer, and product related regulation, with responsibility for ensuring the consistent and strategic handling of regulatory enquiries and investigations
Assessing risk and co-ordinating with the wider business as a trusted adviser on regulatory compliance and risk management issues
be a mid to senior Regulatory and Compliance lawyer with prior experience in a similar environment
have experience dealing with UK and European regulatory matters affecting online marketplaces and platforms, consumer law, product law
have experience in regulatory engagements and investigations in UK and Europe
have good knowledge of EU and UK consumer law, product law, e-commerce

This assignment will be full time, starting as soon as possible, and is expected to run for at least 3 months.

This will be hybrid working with some days in the office in London.
