Rated 'Good' ('Outstanding' for Caring) in their most recent CQC report, Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust (HDFT) provides hospital and community-based services across North Yorkshire and Leeds as well as providing children's services in the North East.

HDFT has a supportive and inclusive ethos, with excellent transport links to Leeds, Bradford, York, Wakefield, Northallerton, Thirsk and Ripon.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Assessing the needs of women, partners, families, and carers
  • Plan, deliver and evaluate standards of evidencebased midwifery care
  • Providing full antenatal care, including parenting classes, clinical examinations and screening
  • Identifying highrisk pregnancies

You'll have the following qualification/experience:

  • Have a minimum of 12 months paid experience as a qualified midwife within Maternity Services in a hospital environment within the last 2 years.
  • Have up to date training and certification in CTG/ Neonatal Resus
  • Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices
  • Undertake nursing assessment and evaluation to enable development of appropriate plans of care based on the needs of the individual
  • Be proficient in the delivery of care to patients
  • Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and CHS policies
  • Ensure accurate records are kept in accordance with CHS policy and NMC guidelines
  • Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards
  • Undertake regular mandatory training
