We are looking for a new Training Facilitator to lead on managing and delivering The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism in NHS and Adults Social Care setting.

The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training is named after Oliver McGowan, whose death shone a light on the need for health and social care staff to have better training.

Responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities:

  • Role models exemplary behaviour in terms of conduct, attitude, performance, when delivering The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism.
  • Demonstrates ability to effectively support experts with lived experience cotrainers, ensuring they are fully included and supported in the delivery of the sessions, helping them to develop skills and confidence.
  • Helps to keep participants and staff safe and confident in their surroundings and acts on safeguarding and health and safety concerns in line with organisation policies.
  • Recruit, train and monitor group of individuals with lived experience of autism and / or learning disability.
  • Help the individuals become experts by experience, who would form a pool of bank workers available to provide The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training to NHS staff and in Adult Social Care setting.
  • Delivering The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training as a trio with the assistance of trained individuals with lived experience.
  • Actively promote and secure opportunities to deliver The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training.
  • Managing training request and Scheduling the dates of training sessions.
  • Work, in collaboration with the People Director, on setting the prices and ensuring financial viability of the delivery of The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training by securing sufficient volume of participants.
  • Deliver the 'In my Shoes' Disability Awareness Training.

Evaluation and Quality Control

  • Design, implement and review processes for collecting and evaluating feedback from training participants and clients.
  • Ensure testimonies from clients are used in our marketing of the training.

Organisational Development

  • Collaborate across the organisation on strategic campaigns, crossorganisational projects, organisational timelines and the implementation of our annual activity plan.
  • Work with colleagues to identify and utilise technology to develop and improve our organisational processes
  • Any other reasonable tasks as directed by your line manager.
