Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils with learning opportunities as directed by the class teacher.
  • Assist in maintaining positive behaviours of pupils.
  • Deliver prepared work to small groups of pupils or provide one-to-one support.
  • Ensure safe supervision of pupils at all times.
  • Access relevant training to develop classroom skills.
  • Undertake whole school duties as directed.
  • Work with individual pupils and groups to support learning.
  • Implement behaviour support plans and communication programs.
  • Support students in developing resilience, independence, and emotional regulation.
  • Support personal and social aspects of teaching.
  • Contribute to the physical education of pupils.
  • Record pupil progress and create educational resources.
  • Accompany pupils on educational visits and journeys.
About the School:

This role is based in a Special Educational Needs (SEN) school, providing support to pupils with severe learning difficulties and significant health needs. The ideal candidate should have the experience and compassion to nurture these students in a structured environment.

Requirements:
  • Must have DBS on the update service.
  • Must have experience with challenging behaviour.
