Proactive are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor to start work in Cambridge Immediately.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a market leader in the design and manufacture of high quality medical equipment.

Purpose of Role:You will be responsible for leading the testing, preparation, finish, final inspection and packing departments ("Back End") as part of the Production Management Team in the daily operations of our production department(s) or production cell(s).

You will take responsibility in the following tasks and duties and provide support in the absence of the Production manager:

  • Supervision of all testing, preparation, finish and final inspection and packing staff (currently around 25 staff) ensuring that production orders are processed safely, on time and to the correct quality standards
  • Performance Management: Start of shift meetings, Gemba Meetings, KPI data collection and presentation
  • Material management (maintaining Kanban and lineside stock levels, highlighting shortages)
  • Develop training plans and maintain and keep up to date training records and skills matrix
  • Managing staff attendance, timekeeping and holidays
  • Organising data driven overtime within their departments to cover holidays, sickness or increased demand
  • Promoting and maintaining all aspects of HPS (5s, Lean, CI, TPM)
  • Maintaining a clear communication flow by liaising with other functions when required (Planning, Sales, Design, Engineering etc.)
  • Support reaching our production targets by taking on operative tasks whenever possible
