We are seeking a highly motivated band 5 registered nurse to join our skilled and friendly team within Ambulatory care to cover maternity leave.

As a registered nurse you will join the team within Day Surgery, which comprises of 45 beds and cares for the needs of patient's pre and post operatively. This is currently an elective surgical ward receiving patients from all specialities comprising of day cases, 23 hour patients and inpatients from a wide variety of specialities.

You will support the delivery of high quality nursing care, providing person-centred care as a key component of a multidisciplinary team and, as such, should have excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills along with a positive attitude and a proven ability to work as part of a team. The successful applicants will be responsible for the assessment of patient's needs and the planning, implementation and evaluation of patient centred care while supporting clinical care standards within the ward environment. This will ensure that Quality Standards and Key Performance Indicators are fully met.

You must have a willingness and appetite for life-long learning to develop and enhance your own personal and professional development and contribute to the professional development of others within your area. A flexible approach to shift patterns is essential, with expectation to work days, nights, weekends and public holiday rotation.

Some post registration experience is required and experience within surgical nursing is desirable.
