About the role:
Reporting to the Aftersales Manager, as a parts advisor in our business you will consistently deliver the highest level of satisfaction as well as maintaining and developing good relationships with to both our internal and external customers.
The job holder will need an ability to
- Maintain a reasonable level of contact with internal and external customers and suppliers
- Identify and resolve customers issues in a professional and empathetic manner
- Work readily with numbers
- Build strong interdepartmental relationships, and to pay close attention to the requirements of those departments
- Pay close attention to administrative details, ensuring documentation is clear and legible
- Work independently in a busy, active environment, managing workflow, and own time
- Present a consistently professional image to all customers through attitude, behaviour, and personal appearance
- Maintain up to date knowledge about new parts products, systems, services, market trends and their impact
Main Job Purpose
- To continuously deliver the highest level of satisfaction to internal and external customers
- To sell an agreed volume of parts thereby achieving incremental sales and profit opportunities
- To achieve the individual profit objectives set through optimisation of sales opportunities
- To contribute towards the delivery of the highest standard of service and that each opportunity is taken to continuously improve the working methods and standards
Knowledge Required to fulfil this role effectively:
- Appropriate customer handling skills
- Automotive systems (e.g. understanding of basic vehicle layout, function and location of parts) and required parts for service and common repairs.
- Competitors' products and prices and relevant parts
- Inhouse computer systems
- General office equipment (i.e. PC, telephone systems, copiers, internet)
You will take pride in representing both City Motors and the Peugeot and Citroën brands to the very highest standard.

You will be a customer focused individual that possesses a passion for delivering exceptional customer care.
Naturally organised with the ability to work independently in a busy active environment, you will be able to process detailed information whilst maintaining and updating your product knowledge.
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are essential along with experience of working as part of a team with shared objectives and personal performance goals.
