About the role

  • To be the first point of contact for our members and deliver an exceptional customer service.
  • To ensure customer needs are met through the delivery of a highquality service and by promoting the Society's products and services.
  • Saturday's, 9am to 12pm (3 hours a week). In addition to these hours, you may be required to work additional hours during the local school holiday periods.
  • Based at our Saxmundham Branch, IP17 1DD.

Your day-to-day activities

  • To communicate and promote products and services in accordance with branch sales plans.
  • Provide appropriate referrals to ensure we help Members with their financial needs and uphold the Society's service standards.
  • To gather market feedback from customers and report via survey(s).
  • To ensure that all administration duties are performed accurately and in accordance with Society procedures.
  • To effectively process all transactions ensuring no errors are made and that the till balances at the end of each day.
  • To comply at all times with statutory and nonstatutory regulatory requirements.
  • To maintain the standards of competence as outlined in VIP appraisal.
  • To understand the Society's Risk Management Framework, act openly and transparently at all times by raising incident reports where errors occur.
  • To ensure that processes and procedures are followed at all times and challenged where they are thought to be deficient.
  • To escalate risk incidents in line with the Society's escalation matrix.

About you

As a Saturday Member Assistant you will:

  • Have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Preferably have 5 GCSE's including Maths and English at Grades A-C or equivalent
  • Enjoy taking ownership of your work and working within a team
  • Have a keen eye for detail
