Delivering:

  • Project manage, traffic, QC and deliver BBC promotional material, across a variety of platforms, overseeing resource, budget and delivery requirements.
  • Ensure projects are clearly defined and adhere to BBC processes.
  • Ensures resources are available, scheduled and negotiated appropriately.
  • Ensures that the teams work within budget.
  • With support, set up and manage budgets within BBC forecasting and reporting requirements.
  • With support, ensure compliance with legislation, editorial policy and production guidelines.

Working with Others:

  • Communicate clearly and negotiate to obtain the best value for the BBC.
  • With support, deal with difficult circumstances in a diplomatic manner, both with external and internal contacts.
  • Create a productive and collaborative working environment, always leaving people feeling valued.
  • Be responsible for compliance and rigour in working practices.
  • Be involved in recruitment, where required.
  • Task manage effectively, delegating where appropriate.
  • Manage the logistics of BBC Creative teams and establish strong working relationships with BBC Marketing and BBC Media Planning colleagues.
  • Seek a range of alternatives to improve production traffic management processes, embracing and suggesting new ways of working where necessary.
  • Find solutions to problems and lead the way in terms of decision making.

WHAT DOES IT TAKE?

Key criteria

  • Budgeting and financial reporting - including forecasting.
  • Workflow management – time management and tracking deliverables across multiple projects.
  • Resource allocation – people and facilities.
  • Organised, able to multi-task.
  • Demonstrates a flexible and pro-active approach.
  • Experience in production (e.g. as a Sr Production Assistant, Production Secretary or Production Coordinator, setting up shoots, leading graphic or branding projects social and digital campaigns, managing budgets and resources).
  • Experience of managing internal and external relationships.
  • Experience of leading creative projects.
  • Experience of scheduling resources.
  • An in-depth understanding of the pre and post-production process.

Salary: up to £33,000 + London Weighting (£5,164) depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights.
