James Lewis are currently assisting a key client, who are a multi-dimensional Principal Contractor, in their search for an Mechanical Site Manager to join the team.
Working across a range of project sectors which include data centres, education, commercial, healthcare and science & technology in and around London and the SE, they have a real focus on critical infrastructure.
Their services start from design, through construction and fit out to the maintenance of the projects, effectively offering an end-to-end solution.
Due to a combination of both existing projects and a strong pipeline for 2024 and into 2025, they are looking to add to a number of their project teams, ideally with candidates who have previous experience on critical infrastructure or within live environments.
The Mechanical Site Manager duties include:
- Manage and oversee the on-site construction team, including Electrical and external Contractors
- Ensure Sub-contractors work to the programme
- Report on all Health and Safety issues and demonstrate H&S Leadership and on-site monitoring of all team members and Contractors
- QA inspections of installations
- Implement and monitor the project to ensure it is engineered to the highest standard
- Take ownership of Mechanical issues and liaise with the Client and Design consultants to obtain closure and clarifications where necessary
- Ensure clear reporting lines into Contracts Manager and Project Manager
- Review of ongoing works and highlight potential defects or risks
- Complete accurate materials take off in line with the project procurement process
- Compile project RAMS and ensure they are updated as the project progresses
