We are seeking a highly motivated Media Relations Executive to join our London office, where you'll play a pivotal role in connecting PR professionals with the media by engaging with the sector's top journalists and influencers on a daily basis.

Bonuses are based on various monthly performance metrics, such as calls made, Journalist Alerts posted, new user registrations, interaction with existing users, content generation, and more. For an individual who thrives on working towards targets, the OTE remuneration for the role is up to £50,000

Joining our team means working with hundreds of top brands in the travel and food sectors and media powerhouses such as the BBC, Daily Mail, Independent, The Telegraph, Times, The Guardian, and top journalists working across numerous other nationals, glossies, broadcast media, and trade titles.

Role Overview

With a focus on the UK market, you will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists and influencers. Daily tasks will include phone outreach to new journalists to encourage registrations, and existing users to ensure their engagement with the platforms. You will also be expected to facilitate user-generated content creation, such as journalist Stories and Updates, and the posting of Journalist Alerts. Our team is encouraged to take a creative and innovative approach in their work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Journalist Management:

· Liaison with journalist and influencer users of TravMedia and Food4Media

· Cultivating lasting relationships with top journalists and influencers to drive content for use by our PR subscribers

· Daily phone outreach to journalists and influencers, encouraging registrations, posting of Journalist Alerts, user content and general engagement of the sites.

2. Content:

· Reviewing and approving Journalist Alerts, press releases, stories, images, videos, and other incoming content

· Ensuring the perfect presentation of content on the site and in Alert emails

· Encouraging PR subscribers to issue press releases to be shared with Journalists

3. Other:

· Outreach at media and industry events

· Assistance at TravMedia's events – notably IMM and the TravMedia Awards

Candidate Profile

We love graduates, but we're also big fans of self-starters who have taken a different route and possess at least one year of experience in media, PR, or a related field.
