Purpose of role:


To actively promote Carvansons products to customers & sales agents in given territory, liaise between the company and their export customers and ensure outstanding customer service and client satisfaction.

Develop customer accounts by assessing clients' wants and needs and either look for ways to meet these objectives or manage the customers' expectations.

Co-ordinate with internal departments to communicate information and resolve any account queries.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • To welcome and guide new and current customers through the project to sale process.
  • To attend meetings, seminars, training courses, exhibitions and other events as required, in the territories that you are responsible for.
  • Actively promote Carvansons products of interest to your customers & sales agents.
  • Oversee all aspects of service to ensure that all clients have a positive experience. Manage and communicate any arising issues with relevant personnel.
  • Add and maintain customer/product information across both systems including customer contact details, delivery addresses, personnel change, specific customer fragrance policies, pricing, and cross references.
  • Manage and communicate expectations/limitations within fragrance formulations and creatively interpret sample briefs.
  • Have a good understanding of product types, legislation, and formula requirements to be able to select suitable formulations for project briefs.
  • Raise sample project details within a timely manner, assign tasks to relevant job holders and log project information on systems.
  • Coordinate sample projects enabling customers to have updates upon request.
  • Create required formulation technical documents for samples despatched.
  • Create quotations based on project information and communicate quotations with customer.
  • Follow up on sample briefs and gain insight and feedback not just on service but success and suitability of fragrance formulations. Log feedback in relevant systems.
  • Create and provide further/additional technical documents required upon request.
  • Advise formulation contents such as essential oils and decolorates.

Communication:

  • Communicate with all colleagues and external points of contact face to face, by telephone, or in writing in a clear, concise, and professional manner.
  • Interpret and respond clearly, effectively, and in a timely manner to requests for information from colleagues, managers, directors, and external agencies.
  • Understand business demands and expectations and deliver against these in line with the company's high standards.
  • Communicate within the team, supporting others where necessary.
  • Contribute to team meetings and events as and when required.

Administration:

  • Data entry and filing alongside performing other routine clerical tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
  • Scanning, printing, and running reports.
  • Experience in a similar project manager role.
  • Maintain accurate paper and electronic filing systems.
  • Competency in typing accurately with agreed level of speed.
  • Identify problems and respond in a timely fashion.
