We have a job vacancy for a Trust Payroll Apprentice.

Reporting to the Trust Payroll Officer, the role will encompass a wide range of areas of the central support services of the Trust, as well as helping to cover elements of HR maternity cover.

The role is based in Tamworth and will require some travel to the Trust's other Academies.

Person specification

  • An interest in Payroll/HR procedures.
  • Effective use of ICT packages/software.
  • Good standard of education including English and Maths.
  • Good keyboard skills.
  • Ability to work constructively as part of a team.
  • Good organising, planning and prioritising skills.
  • Methodical with good attention to detail.
  • Able to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
  • Has a friendly yet professional and respectful approach which demonstrates support and shows mutual respect.

Job description
Duties for this job will include (but are not limited to):

  • Electronic and paper filing
  • Sending letters and paperwork
  • To assist with keeping spreadsheets and documents up to date
  • Handling of confidential material
  • Liaising with the Payroll department
  • Assist with the maintenance of HR/payroll records
  • Using payroll software
  • Any other tasks as requested.
