The Kitchen Porter plays a vital role in the overall success of making The Bull Inn a fantastic public house.

This position is essential for supporting the kitchen staff and ensuring the efficient flow of dishes and utensils.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Taking responsibility for your given tasks as well as supporting the team around you, every service
  • Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are always of the highest quality
  • Setting up, running and closing down the kitchen following:
  • Preparation processes
  • Food safety and storage procedures
  • Ensuring that the kitchen is kept immaculate at any given time
  • Responsible for the cleaning and storing of all cutlery, crockery, cookware and equipment, before, during and after service
  • Ensuring that pot wash area and equipment are maintained to standard at all times
  • Regularly deep cleaning kitchen, cooking equipment (ovens and grills) and fridges

Key Selection Criteria

  • Experience of working as a KP is preferable but NOT essential
  • Happy and wanting to work hard in demanding yet rewarding work amongst an experience and passionate team
  • Does well and taking instructions and caring out work as has been requested
£10.5 - £12 per hr depending on experience
