Are you an experienced care professional looking for a rewarding career?


We are looking for an experienced Rehabilitation Support Workers to work with an adult male with an acquired brain injury (ABI), in his own home and in the community.


He has a larger-than-life personality and loves to be active in the community - he enjoys going to the gym and has a lot of involvement in the arts, including playing the banjo.


This post would ideally suit someone with drive and a creative outlook, an open-minded approach and good sense of humour.

"Hi, I am 34 years old and looking for a rehabilitation support worker to join my team. I need someone who wants to help me with my rehabilitation therapy programmes, encourage me to be the best version of myself, and have a laugh whilst doing it.


I use a walking pole which helps with my mobility, however on longer journeys I may need to use a wheelchair.

I am looking for a person regularly available two days a week, and to cover annual leave when required.

I live with my parents but I'm working towards living independently with the help of support. If you feel like you may be able to support me in reaching my goals, then please apply."

Duties, hours and pay:


Your duties will include supporting him with social and leisure activities such as going to the gym, attending volunteering arrangements, supporting with therapy programmes and bringing positive ideas to help him grow and live independently.

This is a
part-time or full-time role.

Part-time is 16 hours per week, full-time is Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm, with a salary of £12.00 per hour depending on experience.


Key skills, knowledge and experience:

  • You should have previous experience of working with ABI.
  • A valid UK driving licence and being a car owner is essential.
  • You should be trained to NVQ/Diploma Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or have equivalent experience e.g., completed year 1/level 4 of a recognised health profession degree course).
