What will this role achieve?

  • The Learning & Development Specialist supports the delivery of all L&D Initiatives for the UK&I region when required, with a specific focus on Halifax.
  • Travel & overnight stays will be required.
What will be your key results?Support preparing & monitoring corporate L&D budget spend Conduct evaluation to illustrate return on investment and business benefit Conduct Training needs analysis on an individual, team and functional level to support the annual Learning & Development Plan that is aligned to the business & HR Strategy Supporting the Head of L&D to implement the annual L&D plan for the site/ region, working closely with all functions including site Leadership Team members Partner with leadership teams on their L&D agenda, providing regular updates and driving the L&D agenda in leadership team and other meetings Identify, design, deliver and supervise training, either internally or using external 3rd parties - including classroom or virtual facilitation via MS Teams Continually review, improve, and deliver elements of our L&D processes Develop, recommend and implement improvements to how training is delivered (ie best fit training providers, seeing opportunities for in-house training delivery, improvements to site induction, etc.) Ensure all Training Processes and policies are relevant, documented and maintained including on our LMS Co-ordinate the rolling compliance training programme (ie Health & Safety, Basic Food Hygiene) Assist the administration and coordination of UK&I wide L&D initiatives - venue bookings, arranging required resources, etc. Creating awareness and marketing of our L&D events via Workplace posts, My Development calendar etc. Work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering and Labour Management teams to develop and ensure the effective and timely delivery of shop floor skills training plans. (Manufacturing sites) Support Site related HR activities when required - onboarding, MHBH etc.
