Internal Communications & Engagement Coordinator (9-12 months FTC)
Location: Derbyshire
Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

The Role

The Internal Communications and Engagement Co-ordinator will be part of the People Capability Team. The role will be home based with occasional nationwide travel required. This will be a 9–12month FTC, covering maternity leave.

As part of our Head Office function, the Internal Communication and Engagement Co-ordinator will plan and deliver creative campaigns, develop key messages that are purposeful, inclusive and drive the right behaviours within the business. The key focus in the role is ensuring that our people are seen, heard, and recognised through carefully thought-out communications, events, and innovative engagement pulse surveys.

What will I do?


• Delivering polls and pulse surveys throughout the business at all critical points in the colleague journey to build an understanding of engagement levels within the business.


• Engaging with the wider business to attract them on to key communication platforms such as our intranet and Viva Engage.


• Working with key stakeholders to ensure that campaigns and activities are delivered on the best choice of digital platform.


• Working closely with the Design Team to create engaging and imaginative communications and campaigns.


• Management of internal recognition programmes.


• Create and execute timely campaigns that complement our inclusion strategy.


• The organisation of large-scale internal events such as our Loyalty Event, Apprentice Awards, Management and Leadership Conferences.


• Analysing data from communications and engagement to understand what works well and what could be improved.


• Spend time listening to our people through focus groups and within businesses to gain better understanding of what it is like to work in Marshall.


• Taking every opportunity to ensure that all communication and engagement is values based and led for consistent reinforcement.


• Being a positive ambassador for the People Capability Team and Constellation brands.

What do I need?


• Experience of organising a high volume, varied workload without day-to-day supervision.


• An excellent understanding of the diverse range of communications tools and an ability to deliver within tight deadlines and to a budget.


• Excellent IT skills and a willingness to continually develop knowledge and experience in new technologies.


• Creative thinking skills on new ways to inform and engage.

• Strong data analytical skills


• Experience of working with senior management teams.
