Our We Are Social Gaming proposition is led by a team of specialists that work both at local market level and at global level.

In its global nature, the team focuses on driving growth for We Are Social in the gaming area, by defining, offering and promoting a global socially-led gaming product.

The team relies on our global functions and local support to execute our gaming strategy, mainly focusing on:

  • driving business growth through our gaming offering
- raising our profile through external communication
- making sure our gaming and social specialism applied to our product is and remains best in class
- upskilling our internal teams distributed across all of our offices worldwide
- supporting the use of gaming tools and solutions for our clients
- starting and nurturing relationships with potential clients around gaming
- working closely with local markets to define and implement gaming strategies


Our global head of gaming will be responsible for the above objectives and focuses, coordinating the We Are Social Gaming team, and working closely with the rest of We Are Social global team, reporting into the Executive Leadership Team.


Clients impacted by the work of this team are gaming brands, as well as non-gaming brands that adopt creative gaming solutions or engage with gaming communities.


We Are Social Gaming is growing rapidly as we create impactful and transformative ideas for a growing roster of forward-thinking brands (both in the gaming industry and outside of it) including Adidas, Samsung, Activision, Google, Vodafone and Riot Games.


We're looking to hire an exceptional Global Head of Gaming lead in our distributed international We Are Social Gaming team.

There are no restrictions as to where the role is located, but the ability to work at one of our offices and be in a time zone that's convenient for international collaboration in our network:
CET and BST are best positioned from this perspective.

Who we're looking for?


A talented professional with a strong strategic background, with 10+ years of experience in a gaming role in a consultancy or agency environment.

They will have an established record as an exceptional thinker, communicator and methodologist, and have experience in coordinating international teams.

We're looking for a talent experienced in consultancy for consumer-facing brands and clients.

Requirements:

What skills are we looking for?

  • Senior marketer (10+ years of experience)
  • Strong gaming experience, with particular focus on:
  • how brands can connect with people in meaningful ways
- collaborating on creative projects
- participating to the definition of marketing and communications strategies

  • Strong strategic background
  • Focused on the intersection of marketing, brand and content
  • Closeness to esports and entertainment world
  • Experience in international companies / agencies in global environments
  • Able to define a business plan and implement it from a global point of view
  • Able to work with global distributed teams
  • With a strong network of contacts in the gaming environment
  • Able to represent gaming practice outside
  • Able to work well with creative and strategy teams
  • Ability to define mid
- and long-term strategy

  • Proven track record of putting mid
- and long-term strategy in place

  • Ability to establish and nurture client relationships, and to promote and sell consultancy products
  • Management experience, including experience of individual line management and leading small teams
  • A sharp strategic mindset and a knack for connecting broad brand challenges to core business problems, through gaming solutions
  • Experience managing and overseeing gaming projects from end to end
  • Experience in project management either directly managing timelines and budgets or working closely with project managers, resource teams, and client services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; equal ability to craft a beautiful deck and deliver a compelling presentation

Responsibilities:

  • Leading and overseeing a global team of gaming experts
  • Liaising with global functions to support communications, marketing, learning & development and service development
  • Driving top line growth for our network through gaming, both directly and indirectly
  • Working closely with local strategic and creative teams from around the world on integrating gaming strategies and tactics in our projects
  • Providing overall direction, guidance and inspiration to the growing gaming squad
  • Interrogating incoming client briefs to identify the role of gaming and advising on method, costing and approach
  • Delivering support, feedback and quality control on live work, ensuring it aligns with our goals, standards and remit as a department
