We require a TVLRF (Thames Valley Local Resilience Forum) Resilience Business Support Officer to cover an existing workload within a major police force, based in Kidlington.

This is an interim position for 6 months with the potential to be extended, dependent on workload.

Role Purpose:

  • The overall purpose of the role is to: provide admin support to ensure an efficient and
- effective service delivery to the TVLRF (Thames Valley Local Resilience Forum).

  • The individual for this role will need to have a proven ability to work on their own initiative prioritising their own workload with excellent time management skills but also able to work effectively as part of a wider team.
  • They will be required to communicate verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences including producing meeting minutes.
  • Due to the geographic size of Thames Valley the individual should have the ability to drive to different areas of the force.

Skills required to be successful in the role:

  • Proven ability to work on own initiative, or part of a team, prioritise own workload with excellent time management skills.
  • Good standard of education with GCSEs (Grade 91/A-C) or Key Skills Level 2 or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to a wide range of audiences conveying complicated information concisely, accurately and directly.
  • Ability to travel across Thames Valley when required. Working hours and level of flexibility are specific to each role and will be discussed at interview.
  • Competent user of MS Office packages, especially Excel, Word and Outlook. Willingness to learn bespoke packages as required.
  • Ability to comprehensively research and analyse data and summarise complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Proven experience of working in demanding administrative role.
  • Experience and understanding of multiagency partnership working.
  • Understanding of the requirements and duties contained in the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and JESIP Principles would be beneficial.

£11.06 per hour PAYE (Umbrella rate available)and you'll be working via
