South London, to recruit an experienced

Senior Commissioning Officer. If you are looking to increase your earnings for the year,

Contract: 3-6 months (Possible Extension)

Salary:
£270 a day (Umbrella)

Start Date:
February 2023

Shift Pattern: 36 hours / Full-time (09:00am - 17:00pm)

DUTIES

  • To develop strategic priorities and lead the work on the design and commissioning of services for children, adults and families.
  • To be responsible for the delivery of complex project plans, monitoring and managing progress.
  • To lead on specific commissioning projects that help shape and influence the provider market.
  • To research, collect, collate and analyse information about the local market in order to identify changes or developments in service provision.
  • To represent departmental commissioning at cross agency strategy, planning and development meetings.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
  • At least 2 years previous experience within a Commissioning role or equivalent.
  • Detailed knowledge of current relevant legislation, statutory duties, responsibilities, and best practice in commissioning adult social care and children's services.
  • A recognised management qualification or evidence of continued management development at a senior level.
  • Substantial successful experience of commissioning services for children, adults and families.
