An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and organised individual to join our friendly Research Office Team.

The role holder will assist colleagues in the Faculty Research Office and the Division of Research, Enterprise and Innovation in supporting the development of Impact Case Studies for REF, enabling us to demonstrate the real world impact of our research.

You will work with researchers, Faculty Research Directors and School Impact Directors to identify potential evidence sources, lead on evidence collection and evaluate impact.

The REF Impact Officer is a dynamic role which will allow you to demonstrate your skills in organisation, communication and project management.

You will coordinate the delivery of project activities in an efficient and professional manner, collating and recording evidence as well as being a key point of contact for researchers, Faculty staff and external partners.

They will work closely with academics and administrative staff internally and with a range of external partners including businesses and the public and third sectors.

Reporting to the Research, Impact and Knowledge Exchange Manager and supporting multiple Impact Case Studies, the post-holder will be required to interact and work cooperatively with the wider Professional Services team to ensure high-quality project management support.

First class degree in a relevant subject or equivalent work experience
The ability to win the confidence of both University and private sector representatives
Experience of maintaining appropriate administrative systems for managing project records and progress reporting
This role is part time, 28 hours per week, working Tuesday to Friday.
