Role Overview:

With their achievements, the firm is now seeking to hire an Analyst/Associate to join their London-based investment team. The ideal candidate would possess expertise in analyzing and evaluating large mixed-use investment/development opportunities, along with a solid understanding of the UK's planning and development procedures.

The investment team collectively manages daily fund operations, identifies new investment prospects, and oversees current investments. The chosen candidate will primarily assist the team in evaluating and identifying new investment possibilities.

Team Background:

The diverse team members come from various sectors such as private equity, banking, development, and agency. The firm's principals have a rich history in UK property investment, extensive knowledge of planning regulations, significant local and national government connections. In the past five years, they have successfully obtained planning consents for over 30,000 homes and 5 million sq ft of commercial space.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support throughout the investment cycle, from acquisition to gaining planning permission and exiting investments.
  • Evaluate potential investment opportunities, conduct financial analysis, create investment presentations, and carry out acquisition due diligence.
  • Develop complex financial models, generate bid recommendations, review legal documents, and produce investment memos for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Handle fund-level financial modeling, prepare quarterly reports for LPs, and manage the fundraising data room.
  • Maintain internal databases, create internal materials, originate deals, and engage in ad-hoc analysis.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, build industry contacts, and enhance networking.

Required Skills and Expertise:

  • Demonstrated numerical and modeling skills, proficient in building Excel models from scratch.
  • Experience in crafting PowerPoint presentations and templates.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, ability to work autonomously, strong work ethic, and thrive in a high-pressure environment.
