The role will involve the co-development and co-delivery of a strategy for training and educating clinical staff in the principles of end-of-life care.

You will be responsible for identifying end of life care educational gaps across the Trust and creating and delivering an education and training programme in response to these gaps.


To support the creation of a strategy and the roll out of education in end-of-life care across the service and wider community.

Leading on developing clinical practice for care of end-of-life patients

We are a university teaching NHS trust, in recognition of the important role we play in training clinicians of the future and bringing the benefits of research to the public.


In conjunction with the Continuous Improvement Lead-End of Life Education and Senior Palliative and End of Life Care Nurse and Directorate senior nurses, develop and help deliver a strategy on the delivery and roll out of end-of-life care education.


To spend an agreed percentage of hours working with staff in the clinical areas to role model excellence in end-of-life care.


  • Provide supervisory expertise underpinned by theoretical knowledge, skill, and practical experience, imparting specialist knowledge of clinical speciality.


Develop and implement teaching and training programmes for the service, which includes planning, delivery, evaluation, and facilitation of others to do the same.
