In this role, you will oversee the development of Cost Estimates for significant and intricate projects, ensuring accuracy and establishing appropriate budget contingencies.

Salary: £-£/hour (London rates, inside IR)

Contract: Month starting in April

Background: Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, or Engineering

Responsibilities:
  • Align Cost Management principles with Risk Management
  • Review Cost Estimates and challenge proposals
  • Develop Cost baselines and monitor progress
  • Utilize Cost Management techniques including Earned Value Management
  • Create complex estimates and related deliverables
  • Collaborate with other disciplines using BIM data
  • Ensure technical accuracy, timeliness, and budget adherence
  • Use data to develop cost models, especially indirect costs
  • Coordinate technical issues and lead cost reviews
  • Communicate cost-related matters for effective design decisions
  • Apply industry best practices for estimating and Controls services
Requirements:

Membership of professional associations like RICS, ACostE, or ICES, along with relevant degree or experience

Chartered Status or working towards it

Experience in high-value construction or infrastructure Estimating

Ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Proficiency in developing Cost Estimates and budgets

Skills in analyzing external factors impacting estimates

Understanding of cost drivers and project costs

Experience managing discipline activities on high-value projects

Relocation candidates will not be considered
