Senior Estimator Role

The Senior Estimator will play a pivotal role in the planning and financial management of construction projects across the West Midlands. This position requires experience in cost planning, including measurement from stage 2, 3, and 4 general arrangement drawings to produce builder's quantities and compilation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to achieve optimal results.

  • Working on a variety of tendering forms, identifying opportunities to add value throughout the project process.
  • Fully engaging with the pre-construction team members to ensure support from the local Pre-Construction Manager and the wider team at Head Office.
  • Tendering and development of Stage 3 and Stage 4 design information into robust sub-contract enquiries for quotation, preparing financial information for settlement meetings at each Gateway stage, including Financial Close/Contract Sum.
  • Tracking and reporting on project costs and financial performance, identifying and addressing any deviations from budget.
  • Recommending cost-saving alternatives and value engineering options to optimize project efficiency and quality.
  • Maintaining clear and effective communication with all project stakeholders, ensuring alignment on costs and timelines.
Senior Estimator Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in estimating, with a focus on residential or student accommodation projects.
  • Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
