Our client, a maritime training provider based in Glasgow are looking for a Survival Instructor.

You will be responsible for the delivery of emergency response-based training programs, aimed at the Offshore Oil & Gas, Maritime and Renewables Industries.


THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
Preferred background from oil and gas sectornUnderstanding of Instructional techniques and process of training deliverynKnowledge of safety cultures within our industriesnAbility to adapt to industry changesnAble and willing to work to flexible schedules / shifts and commit the time required to get the job donenExcellent communication skillsnPC Literate with knowledge of MS systems

Desirable

A1 Assessor or equivalent.nKnowledge of industry training standards & associations (OGUK, OPITO, STCW, IADC, APi etc.)nExperience of delivering training courses to large groups of delegatesnExperience in working at height instructing and/or operationallynPossess occupational expertise in roles related to relevant IndustriesnDiving Qualification to PADI Dive Master, HSE Part 2 or equivalentnCrane operator experience (overhead)nPrevious experience in a similar rolenExperience in rigging, slinging or banksman trainingnWorked offshore / at sea or delivered training in this environmentnFirst Aid qualified

JOB DESCRIPTION


Delivering industry-approved courses (OPITO, STCW, GWO, & Bespoke events).nSupervising delegates during practical in-water, basic fire, first aid and lifeboat training.nCarrying out delegate competency assessments against the required course criteria.nAttending periodical operational meetings.nManaging your weekly training schedule, set by the Lead Instructor.nPromoting a positive safety culture around the worksite.nMaintain and update courses to meet approval standards, following the Company's process and systems such as ISO 9001 but not limited to.nPrimarily involved with Survival & HSE based courses, you would be also expected to support the demands of Fire and Marine based programs.nOccasional travel as required.
