Our client, a maritime training provider in Glasgow, is searching for a Survival Instructor role. This position involves delivering emergency response training programs for the Offshore Oil & Gas, Maritime, and Renewables Industries.
What We're Looking For:
- Background in the oil and gas sector
- Expertise in instructional techniques and training delivery processes
- Familiarity with safety cultures in relevant industries
- Adaptability to industry changes
- Willingness to work flexible schedules and commit to tasks
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in PC literacy and MS systems
Desirable Qualifications:
- A1 Assessor certification or equivalent
- Familiarity with industry training standards and associations
- Experience in conducting training for large groups
- Working knowledge of height instruction and operations
- Occupational expertise in related roles
- Diving qualifications to PADI Dive Master level or equivalent
- Experience as a crane operator (overhead)
- Prior similar role experience
- Background in rigging, slinging, or banksman training
- Offshore or at-sea work experience
- First Aid certification
Job Description:
- Delivery of industry-approved courses
- Supervision of delegates during practical training
- Conducting competency assessments
- Participation in operational meetings
- Management of weekly training schedules
- Promotion of a positive safety culture
- Updating courses to meet standards
- Supporting Fire and Marine programs
- Occasional travel may be required
- Completion of relevant tasks as necessary
