The Enhanced Patient Observation Team at Oldham Care Organisation is looking for patient focused support staff to join our ever-developing team.

The service aims to support patients across the Medical Division, who lack capacity and require one-to-one enhanced patient care. This service provides support to our medical wards, which enables them to deliver consistent, high quality, patient-centred care. Care is provided across the medical wards and will cover all aspects of patient care.


The Enhanced Care Assistant role is key in ensuring that some of our most vulnerable patients remain safe and engaged whilst in hospital.

Individuals should be excellent communicators and recognise the importance of patient engagement, as an essential element of the care we provide.

This interaction has a hugely positive impact on a patients' hospital experience.

Achievement of national Care Certificate / prior L2 Health related vocational qualification, or willingness to work towards is required for this role.

Willingness to go above and beyond to provide the best possible care to patients and families.

Ability to use initiative and individualise engagement activities, to suit the needs of each patient.

Demonstrate an understanding of patients with cognitive impairment and the way this can impact behaviours.

Liaise appropriately and effectively with the wider multidisciplinary team.

Demonstrate professionalism at all times including communication, attitude and appearance.
