Booking facilities and liaising with operational staff to ensure a smooth event.

Planning and delivery of a social media strategy to promote events to students and potential
applicants to the College.
Regular communication to students and management of booking system (where applicable).
Attendance at the majority of sessions - 5pm - 8pm, total of 10 sessions each term. Dates are
already programmed for Michaelmas term - see accompanying document.
Collection and review of student and speaker feedback following events and to work with the
Director of Communications & Engagement to prepare an annual report of the programme.
You may be asked to support the Director of Communications & Engagement with any other
reasonable tasks.

Role

To support the Director of Communications & Engagement in the planning, delivery and review of
a new student-facing initiative FITZ+ for the 23/24 academic year. You can learn more about

Responsibilities:

What are we looking for?

We are a modern, friendly and diverse college and this new initiative is designed to help students
get the most out of their time at Fitz, whatever their background. This role will be flexible and
creative, giving you the opportunity to help shape a new programme right from the start. You will
be working closely with students and academic staff to develop meaningful content, while also
tackling the practicalities of running a regular timetable of events and making sure we promote it
effectively. We're looking for an enthusiastic and personable self-starter, who works efficiently,
has an eye to detail and excellent written and verbal skills. The role is a mix of specific hours - to
cover the events themselves - and then flexible working outside this.

What is FITZ+?

FITZ+ is a new framework to unify and further develop extra-curricular initiatives offered by the
College.

Under the umbrella 'FITZ+', we will deliver three strands of activity:

Build your own programme to get the most out of your Cambridge experience. Each Michaelmas
starts with a set of compulsory (*for UG Freshers) taster events, designed to introduce you to the
programme and show you how different types of session work. Taster events focus on core skills,
vital to all students, whatever your academic background. Each session below is an hour or less, in
the Auditorium, with opportunity to mingle after.
