Fitzwilliam has around 1,000 members including 485 Undergraduates, 340 Postgraduates (full time), 121 Postgraduate
(part time), 63 Fellows, 57 Bye-Fellows and 105 staff members. The College has a strong representation across all of the
major academic disciplines and a good balance between arts and sciences and occupies a seven-acre site between
Huntingdon Road and Storey’s Way. The site comprises new buildings built between the 1960s and 2000s, incorporating
the regency house ‘The Grove’ and extensive landscaped gardens. The College site is within 10 minutes cycle ride of all
the major faculties and departments.

**Job Function**:
We are looking for flexible and reliable staff to work as casual bar staff in our College Bar. Potentially working any evening
of the week, depending on business. Generally, the busier evenings being towards the weekends, however depending on
whether we are in or out of term, the busier evenings can vary throughout the week catering for our students and
Fellows. The bar also operates out of term time when the College hoists conferences. The closure time of the bar is 11pm,
however on some occasions, due to functions held in the College, you may be required to work an extended shift.

This work is offered on a casual basis to assist at busy times. Shifts are generally offered on a first come, first served basis
and staff are able to volunteer for the shifts that suit their availability. Applicants should be aware that during the year,
certain months will be busier than others (June, July, October, November, December) with quieter months in between
therefore, it should be noted that there may be a varied amount of shifts available throughout the year. Further
information can be provided.

Applicants for these positions must be at least 18 years old due to licensing laws in the bar. Previous relevant experience
would be preferred but full training will be given.
