NHS Lanarkshire is comprised of Acute Services (which currently provide hospital based services over 3 main sites), Corporate & Property & Support Services, North and South Lanarkshire Health and Social Care Partnerships which provide integrated primary healthcare and social care services to local communities and surrounding areas.

Key Details:

Locations: Based in Lanarkshire. Duration: Fixed-term positions for 12 months starting from 12th August , 2024. Part-time hours available with pro-rata salary. Eligibility: Applicants aged between 16 to 24 years old on 1st August , 2024, (or up to 29 years for applicants with a disability or those with care experience) are eligible. Must demonstrate proficiency at SCQF level 5/National 5 level.

What We Offer:

Training: Gain invaluable on-the-job training to develop essential healthcare skills. Qualification: Work towards achieving a Level 6 SCQF qualification in Social Services and Healthcare or Healthcare Support, a nationally recognised qualification.

What We're Looking For:

Motivated Individuals: Highly motivated and committed individuals eager to join our Modern Apprenticeship program. Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to understand various procedures and processes. Interest: A keen interest in healthcare roles, coupled with a positive approach to work and a passion for providing excellent patient care.

Vacancy Details:

Podiatry, Airdrie Community Health Centre (Level 6 SCQF Healthcare Support, Clinical)

Duties include: Diabetes foot screening, assisting with nail surgery, domiciliary visits, stock control, and record archiving/mail duties.

District Nursing, Motherwell Health Centre (Level 6 SCQF Social Services and Healthcare)

Duties include: Assisting district nurses on home visits, taking observations, end-of-life care, restocking medical resources in patients' homes, and supporting referral allocation and visits.

Health Improvement Team, Beckford Street, Hamilton (Level 6 SCQF Healthcare Support, Non-Clinical)

Duties include: Providing administration support to various teams, contributing ideas to project planning meetings, coordinating project-related events, and staffing high-profile events.

No Prior Experience Necessary: This Apprenticeship welcomes applicants with limited work experience, including school leavers.
