Roehampton Gate School (RGS) is a school for young people aged 9 -19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger's Syndrome and associated learning difficulties.

Located in Roehampton, SW London, we aim to deliver the highest level of education and care according to individual needs in a safe, positive and structured environment.


Duties And responsibilities:

  • To offer 1:1 session for students in crisis
  • To track and monitor 1:1 session to show impact
  • To offer guidance to staff and students on strategies
  • To support staff to complete and edit risk assessments
  • To undertake training and keep up to date with Learning
Lounge

  • To support staff to understand importance of
individualised support

  • Contribute to Annual Reviews, if and when needed
  • To support Pastoral Manager and Senco with EHCP
outcomes

  • To provide regular progress updates to the Pastoral
Manager and Senco

  • Maintain good partnerships between parents and school
and liaise effectively with external agencies

  • To work alongside other colleagues and leadership team
members in supporting the development of the school

  • To support in classes and role model excellent learning
support skills

  • To ensure own understanding of individual, in the classes
supported is effective

Additional duties:

  • Line manages a small team of LSA's
  • Undertake PDR's and Return to Works
  • Support staff to develop
  • Be a point of contact for concerns or worries
  • Undertake return to works
  • Attend SMT Meetings
