Pete's Dragons is an award-winning charity which provides postvention support to those affected by suicide.

The fundraiser will be responsible for:

  • Income generation through fundraising, grants and trusts and developing other key income streams.
  • Assisting the charity in growing our income and delivering our strategic plan.
  • Diversifying and strengthening fundraising, gaining new supporters, and attracting new funding.
  • Creating and identifying new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Marketing and raising brand awareness to increase supporters.

Main Responsibilities:

Income Generation

  • Plan, budget and forecast fundraising income.
  • Inspire new supporters to raise money, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supports.
  • Develop and broaden corporate support.
  • Broaden and coordinate webbased fundraising including social media.
Commmunity and events

  • Manage, existing and introduce new fundraising events, including attending those events.
  • Manage a programme of community fundraising including relationships with various community groups.
  • Develop and cultivate relationships with sponsored event participants and community fundraisers.
  • Produce and implement the fundraising strategy.
  • Oversee and manage all community and events materials.
  • Write content for supporter communications and update the fundraising pages of the website and social media.
  • Manage, train, and support any fundraising volunteers as appropriate.
  • Respond to general enquiries relating to community and events fundraising.
General

  • Prepare a monthly fundraising report for the trustees.
  • Maintain the fundraising part of the Charity's CRM
  • Promote the work of the Charity by delivering presentations to interested groups and attend cheque presentations.
  • Coordinate the Charity's online and social media presence.

Experience

  • Experience of developing a fundraising strategy
  • 3 years experience of community fundraising and legacies
  • Charity experience, ideally within a smaller charity
  • Qualifications (desirable)
  • Suitable fundraising qualification

This role is office based, the Charity has offices in Exmouth, Plymouth, and Barnstaple.

The postholder can be based from any of these locations but would be expected to visit the other offices, and HQ in Exmouth regularly.
