Looking for a Music PA
Are you interested in Music? Are you organised, creative and reliable? Would you like to be a PA to an up-and-coming music artist? And to personally assist in the running of a new music studio and potentially get involved with an artist development programme? Then this role is for you

This is a part-time role of 6 hours per week.

Although the tasks listed below are comprehensive, it is a revolving role according to the artists needs and priority at any given time.

If the workload requires more time at some stage this will be negotiated with the PA as and when this occurs.

Kemi Sulola is an independent singer songwriter artist and a creative music producer from East London.

The Role Involves:

Main artist PA work involves scheduling, planning and supporting the growth of the artist

To include:
_

  • Scheduling dairy and appointments for the artist such as creative sessions with other artists for recording sessions and other relevant appointments for the artist.
  • Scheduling interviews and media appointments to include radio, newspaper interview, tv appearance etc for the artist.
  • Working alongside producers, mix engineers and other creatives as necessary.
  • Planning of creative content with the artist for execution to meet deadlines
  • Other ad
- hoc roles may be required such as live streaming, photography or assisting with interviews or editing creative content.

  • To help prepare the artist's schedules ahead of time for performances, this will include checking venue, event details finding out type of audience, stage schedules and quality of equipment etc
  • Arranging timetable for recording, teaching programmes and other delivery needs of the artists
  • Writing up and following up with invoices and other minor financial recording
  • Supporting, marketing and PR persons for campaigns ( when and where relevant)
  • Updating the artist's website and events list, ensuring posts reach all media accounts and audience as appropriate
  • Updating and sending out mailing lists every 3 weeks to include website and social media data
  • To join the monthly team evaluation of artist progress, from social media growth, fan base and artist's public creative image and profile
  • Scouting for performance opportunities, funding, internet challenges, recording or collaboration opportunities for the artist online or at in person events.
  • To occasionally attend networking events with the artist or on her behalf representing and making contacts appropriate for the artist (all costs to the PA will be reimbursed)
  • Attend occasional performances and recording sessions and BTS (behind the scene) moments
  • Running of WhatsApp group for creative team
  • Promoting and managing the use of the studio space
  • To carry out administrative duties as expected for the role and to help support the smooth running of any appointments and processing of the artist' work as necessary.
Rates of Pay
-
This is a flexible part time role and tasks and time required will be discussed weekly in advance with the artist to make the best use of the available monthly hours of 24 hours approx. per month_

This role involves working in multiple locations.

Some work may be done online, while the main locations will be the studio in Forest Gate or the Office in Stratford.

Additionally other locations include performance sites and networking events/seminars or workshops.

You will also work with the wider creative team including musicians, producers, engineers and other creative team members.
