REVENUES & BENEFITS TECHNICAL CONTROL SPECIALIST TEAM LEADER (Revenues Specialist)

The Revenues and Benefits service plays a crucial role in managing Council Tax, Business Rates, Benefits administration, and assessment.

An exciting opening is available to join our Revenues & Benefits Service within the Technical Control (Systems) Team, focusing on proactive system development and support initiatives.

We are seeking a Revenues Specialist to lead and develop a team, overseeing system administration for the NEC Revenues and Benefits systems. This team is essential in maintaining and enhancing the systems utilized by the Revenues and Benefits service, including implementing new features and managing day-to-day processes. Additionally, managing online customer portals for Council Tax and Benefits is a key responsibility.

This role offers a diverse and engaging experience, involving the management and development of system officers across various areas such as Council Tax, Business Rates, and Benefits. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with other Team Leaders, team members, and stakeholders.

About You

You should be solution-oriented, able to drive initiatives forward, and lead team meetings and projects for the betterment of the service. Education to A level standard and IRRV Technician qualification or equivalent is expected. As a proficient communicator, you will provide effective leadership and line management, including staff training and maintenance of procedures.

You should have:

Significant knowledge of Council Tax and Business Rates legislation and practicesExperience in managing Revenues systems within the NEC Revenues and Benefits system. Relevant experience with equivalent systems will also be considered.Ability to work systematically, accurately, and meet deadlinesCapability to comprehend and communicate technical requirements

Strong IT skills are a must for this role and will be evaluated during the recruitment process.
