Due to continued growth the position of Works Manager has become available to join our successful team based in Heathrow.

As Heathrow embarks upon its 7th regulatory period "H7", Costain was awarded two lots as Major Project Partner and Asset Renewal Partner for Terminal - The Queen's Terminal.

The role of Works Manager will be under the management of the Senior Works Superintendent for CTA rail works. This role will be known as The "FLS rail lead".

This role will be to coordinate the safe delivery of all operational activities on site, ensuring Health and Safety, Quality and Environment needs are met along with programme and budget requirements.

You will take the lead with front line supervisors from Costain and the supply chain to ensure our values are built into their culture and our objectives are achieved, this includes helping them to develop throughout the contract.

Role Requirements

  • Network rail experience.
  • Sub surface works.
  • Cranage experience
  • NVQ Level - Construction Site Supervision
  • Manage sub-contractors and direct workforce.
  • Carry out regular safety and environmental inspections and implement recommended courses of action as identified from progress monitoring and management inspections.
  • Assist engineering team with working method and outputs for production of method statements and programme.
  • Champions Sustainability Safety, Health and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive
  • Having integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way
  • Must be customer focussed by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating and meeting their needs
