Credit analyst member of the second Line of Defence responsible for the credit analysis, monitoring and management of the credit risk of a diverse portfolio of assets mainly to Japanese corporate clients.


  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the credit risk management framework, including the maintenance of exact procedures and processes in credit analysis, monitoring and management in accordance with national KWG and MaRisk) and international regulations (EBA, ECB)
  • Interact with internal and external stakeholders as required including (but not limited to) senior management, external auditors and regulators
  • Support the Head of Credit and other colleagues in day to day management of credit risk and support CD functions generally
The Job Holder is appointed as Credit Analyst within Credit Department and solely dedicated to credit monitoring and transactions booked in order to comply with the German Banking Act and MaRisk requirements in relation to transactions with the bank's customers, based on Service level agreements

The Job Holder is responsible to ensure monitoring of credit exposure for transactions booked. Analysing the credit risk associated with transactions originated by the front office departments (covering both lending and derivatives transactions among others for mainly Japanese corporate clients)

  • Elaborating and presenting a recommendation to the Executive Board (under the Bank's governance) for decision;
  • Monitoring performance of loans and other products in line with policies and procedures
  • Liaising with Front Offices, other Credit Departments and departments (Treasury, F&C, Planning Depts)
  • Participating and contributing internal, external audits and regulatory interactions.
Critically analyse credit applications and their contents submitted by Front Offices in accordance with the application and approval policies and procedures of the banks

  • Report material matters identified to the appropriate authorities (for example, Special Credit Review, Credit and Prudential Risk Committees)
  • Assist in the preparation and review of internal policies and procedures related to credit matters responsibility of CD
  • Adhere to internal policies and rules of the banks generally
Sufficient experience in credit analysis in the field of corporate banking and corporate banking products;

  • Sufficient of credit risk management requirements and regulations both at European and German level (EBA, ECB, MaRisk KWG)
  • Sufficient understanding and knowledge credit risk management requirements and rules
  • Strong numerical and financial analysis skills across products offered by the banks
  • Inquisitive nature and a desire to gain knowledge and experience across product and sector types and the banks' various systems
  • Degree level education and Fluency in written English and German (if possible)
  • Business level Japanese language proficiency is a strong advantage
