The successful candidate will bring significant senior experience in client engagement and leading consulting assignments, ideally with Ofgem and relevant UK government departments.

You will join a diverse, dynamic and collegial team who are passionate about working on some of the most complex and challenging problems facing the UK government.


This role will:


lead further growth of our UK consulting offer in technology, energy and net zero, with a focus on opportunities in DESNZ and Ofgem, including advance capture for opportunities that replicate Defra MEL's ability to scale ICF's operations in the UK.develop and proactively manage the relationship with Ofgem and maximise the potential offered by the recent framework contract award.

play a key part in driving the growth of the Defra account, using MEL to take ICF's strategic client engagement to the next level and position ICF for the recompete of the Defra Managing Consulting framework contract.


ResponsibilitiesIncluding but not limited to:


Build relationships with our clients to understand and address their needsLead consulting assignments, including project teamsLead proposals for new work, including building teams, developing methodologies and budgetsManage project budgets, and project teams including subcontractors, and oversee the delivery of project outputs to a diverse range of clientsManage and develop junior members of the teamWhat you'll need to succeed:You will thrive in a fast-paced environment.

You will have a wide range of interests and be able to develop a nuanced understanding of complex issues. You will have a proven track record in strategic client engagement and leading consulting assignments in relevant policy areas. You will be self-motivated and able to manage a varied workload to deadlines without compromising quality. Your experience could have been gained in consulting, government, a regulator, or the private sector.

You will have:
