Morning Sortation & Network Services Operator

Role Summary


Working within the Business & Network Services Team, the Operator will cover the team administration functions during the morning sortation as well as providing assistance and shared accountabilities with the rest of the Network Services Team.


Hours:
Tuesday to Friday hrs and Saturday hr (46 hours)

General Duties include:

  • Processing incoming data
  • Following agreed process flows
  • Receiving and directing incoming telephone calls
  • Data entry & word processing
  • Managing and maintaining robust records
  • Makes decisions within agreed remit
  • Escalates any anomalies or risks to supervisor

Specific Duties include:

  • Completing the morning sortation administration functions
  • Dealing with calls from our Customers, Drivers and Network Partners
  • Booking in consignments with delivery points
  • Resolving any delivery issues
  • Assisting and sharing tasks with the Network Team
  • Triaging messages on our internal Network systems
  • Completing processes to keep us compliant with our Networks (delivery extensions, adding financials for redeliveries, storage etc)

Knowledge & Skills

  • Attention to detail
  • Pleasant, confident telephone manner
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and workload
  • Knowledge in MS Office, especially Word & Excel
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good time management

Pay:
£11.60-£11.80 per hour
