Working as part of the team based in **Eye** we are currently recruiting for a **Warehouse Operative **to join on a full-time, permanent basis.

**Job Duties**:

- Take receipt of deliveries and ensure that the goods have been delivered to the correct site and that the correct number of packages have been handed over.
- Operate the fork lift truck to off load palletized deliveries.
- Check the goods against the vendor’s delivery note to ensure that the correct goods in the correct quantity of the correct quality have been delivered.
- Book the delivery into the ERP system to create a receipt record to provide payment approval for the subsequent vendor invoice.
- Identify and expedite temperature sensitive goods to ensure the goods are not compromised.
- Ensuring that delivery discrepancies are reported to the Supervisor or Manager immediately.
- Take receipt of the delivery and ensure that the samples have been delivered to the correct site and the correct number of packages have been delivered.
- Complete the Sample Receipt form immediately to document the chain of custody and timeline.
- Expedite client samples to meet the agreed turnaround time.
- All goods/samples must be delivered to the department stated on the delivery paperwork.
- Client samples and temperature sensitive goods must be delivered within the agreed turnaround times.
- All goods/samples must be delivered to the operational department using the appropriate mode of transport (van, fork lift truck, trollies or by hand).
- Ensure that the chain of custody is documented for all deliveries to the end user departments.
- All stock must be putaway in the location assigned in the ERP system,
- Fulfill internal stock requests by ensuring that the correct items in the correct quantity and of the correct quality are picked.
- Report any discrepancies to management.
- Assist in inventory management and cycle counts.
- Packing of goods for dispatch to external destinations.
- Sort and distribute both internal and external mail. External mail must be franked.
- Collect and distribute client data whilst ensuring the data is secure at all times and that the chain of custody is maintained.
- Distribute dry ice to operating departments in a timely manner.
- Perform housekeeping duties.
- Filing - delivery notes, pick plans and sample receipt forms.
- Dispose of packaging waste in line EH&S policies.
- Comply with department SOPs, Risk Assessments and other relevant policies and regulations pertaining to the Stores department.
- Work overtime and attend out of hours call outs as and when required.
- Perform any other duties that may be required to support the department and the business.

**Education requirements**:

- GCSE level or equivalent including English and Maths
