Job Description and Person Specification

Duties:

- teach and coach individual and groups of children in a range of sports (specifically netball, hockey, tennis and cricket) to a high standard
- coach swimming, athletics, gymnastics and other sports would be desirable
- assist with PE lessons and will be expected to teach some of the Junior classes.
- manage and coach a specific team in all three terms
- act as a teaching assistant /classroom support when not involved with either PE or Games sessions.
- be prepared to be involved with co-curricular activities and evening boarding duties on up to three mornings/evenings per week, and termly Sunday duties.
- work as a member of a sports department under the Head of PE and the Sports Co-ordinator, and be expected to undertake admin of the department.

On appointment, a new member of staff is provided with a mentor and, for the duration of their first year, is supported by our induction process.

The school supports an active CPD programme and career development, including NQT mentoring.

About the School:

Beeston Hall School aims to provide boys and girls, aged - 13, with the best possible education.

The School is set in 30 acres on the beautiful North Norfolk coast, just ten minutes' walk from the sea and surrounded by 700 acres of National Trust land.

There are excellent modern educational facilities, a library, a music school with 12 practice rooms, a dedicated art school, ICT suite, an indoor shooting range, sports hall, an outdoor swimming pool, full size astro-turf, floodlit all-weather area and extensive playing fields.

The school has 178 pupils, with approximately a third as full boarders. All pupils are encouraged to take part in a wide and exciting range of extra-curricular activities.

Children leave at 13 years old to a wide range of senior schools across the country, including Oundle, Uppingham Gresham's Eton and Wycombe Abbey.


Salary:
Negotiable, according to contracted hours and experience.

The salary and benefits will be discussed at interview. Accommodation may be available.
