Our client is a leading food, hospitality and support services group with operations across the world.

They are in search of a number of experienced Credit Controllers to join their Birmingham based shared service centre managing the debts of their UK operations.


The Role

To work as part of a growing Credit Control team being responsible for pro-actively chasing outstanding customer debt by providing solutions to ensure collections are achieved in line with company targets.


The role will involve dealing with both internal and external customers and provides an important support function in supporting the Business's objective of retaining its Contract Base and maximising Cash Flow.


Based within a Shared Service Centre (SSC) environment, this is a fast-paced finance position that will suit someone who can work to and meet deadlines, while ensuring excellent customer service is delivered at all times.

Your key responsibilities will include;

  • Take full responsibility for a designated set of customer accounts. Maintaining and improving the current aging of the Sales Ledger.
  • Ensuring that outstanding balances are collected within the agreed payment terms. Being proactive in realising issues that will potentially prevent customers paying before debt becomes overdue.
  • Collaborating with other departments working towards targets to resolve issues.
  • To be in regular contact with a variety of different internal and external customers to facilitate timely and effective revenue collection, whilst also resolving any queries.
  • To update the company database and maintain status reports. Taking ownership of the team's targets and objectives.
You will have proven experience in credit control, with SSC experience being an advantage.

A strong team player with a positive can-do attitude, you will be able to communicate and influence at all levels with a high degree of professionalism.

You will demonstrate strong organisational skills, be IT literate, have a high attention to detail and the ability to work well on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
